Last post before confinement.
Although I haven't see the video yet, I could forsee that it would be a wonderful video because it was created by a group of fun-loving people. They never fail to bring laughter whenever I talk to them. I got this feeling that it will be one of the best birthday presents that I ever had. Honestly, I really enjoyed taking charge of you all for that short period of time. It really brought me back to the time when I first took charge of Sec 3'08. But of course, with more experience now. That letter that SMY wrote really warmed my heart. That feeling is definitely unique to me. Thanks Sec 3'10.
In less than 10 hours time, I will be amongst boys that are about to become men. The most dreadful day has came. So much for laughing or "暗爽" when I saw people getting enlisted before me. There are so many things that I have to let go or at least reduce my involvement in. Firstly, my social life - the smses, msn, and of course playing dota with the guys at night. Secondly, NPCC which I have been heavily involved in for the 7th year this year. And naturally, family - it is an unsaid fact. If you are wondering why I sound like I am going to somewhere far away or as if I am saying my goodbyes, well, too bad. I think it has got to do with my phrasing of the words but so long as you can get my meaning, you will understand.
Anyway, 超人不会飞 by 周杰伦 is really a nice song! MUST listen!

Another summary of the past few days.
Last Friday was Dunman's 47th Speech Day. I had the opportunity to be the parade commander for once and I guess it would be the last. It wasn't easy to be one especially when you have to shout really loud and the commands have to be accurate and in the correct sequence. Furthermore, the drills executed have to be neat and sharp. Oh man. But everything was over within 20mins since the guest of honour was punctual. I had this self-satisfied and "YES!" feeling that it went smoothly. I didn't realise it until the end of the event that it was my last appearance in Dunman unless I am needed and if I am available. Thinking back, I am really thankful to those who had helped me in any ways since 2008 and to those cadets who I had been in charge of. Between us, there were trainings, scoldings, teaching, laughter, gossip-ing and talking sessions. I was interchanging the role of a mentor and a friend which was something that I always wanted. I truly enjoyed them which is why I don't mind going back whenever I can. They may not be reading this but at least I made my point. In other people's eyes, I may not portray the "right" CI image but that's what they think. I believe I have done my part correctly and if I have achieved the same results, there isn't anything wrong.
Then on Saturday, went to Marina Barrage to celebrate Gary's birthday as well as a last gathering before 3 more guys including myself enlist this week. The weather was great; cloudy and looks like it was going to rain but it didn't. It was perfect for kite-flying and we got 5 kites up in the sky in no time until the kites start snapping and only left with 1 at the end of the day. Anyway, we also had picnic there. Charmaine and Sarah made sandwiches and other finger food, I made cookies and we brought drinks and crackers to there. It was certainly something different from other birthday celebrations we had. After that, went to Plaza Singapura to have our dinner before me and Junhao left.
Later in the night, went to meet some of the S101 people at Timbre@art house. We drank, ate pizzas, played cards, talked and of course took quite a number of photos. Was supposed to stay out till late but in the end everyone went home. Oh well.
This week seemed to end veryl fast. It is so difficult to avoid an event which almost everyone is talking about it. I still can't develop that open-minded feeling and it is like 2 days away. I just can't shake off that dreaded feeling. I am just not ready to enter this whole new life that every man has to experience. Zzz.

Ok, let's do a quick update.
My MOE job has ended one day earlier which means it ended on Thursday since both Math and Science team marked really fast that week. This means that I only have 8 days worth of pay instead of 10. But oh well. It is more of the experience than the money (not trying to say that the money isn't that important). At least the money will help me to fund my driving lessons fee.
Then we had another class gathering again on Saturday. This time, at my house for BBQ and a stayover. Have to really thank Yingshi for organising and co-ordinating everything so that it went smoothly. In the end, 15 including myself turned up. Played monopoly card game (interesting and not boring), taboo and plus chatting session. It's good to meet up every now and then to 保持联络.
Resumed my driving lessons again this week since this is the last week that I can attend the lessons on the weekdays and couldn't get slots for last week. Didn't expect to see Mayves at the driving centre on Monday and she was attending the same practice session as me and SW. After that session, they stayed back with me to wait for my next session which was 2 hours away. Went over to the cafeteria to talk. And once again, I have another opinion/perspective (for those who knows). After the talk, I went for my next practice session and met Vivian. Then it started raining heavily right after the session so me and Vivian went to that same cafeteria to talk. After the rain was lighter, we shared the same umbrella (don't think wrong!) and went home separately.
Going to the driving centre is like a place where you can meet some of the people that you havent been seeing for the past couple of months/years. Since the day I have started going to there, I have been seeing people from MJC and of course from Dunman.
Oh well. The date just gets closer and closer. Have no choice but to start preparing for it. Went to order my black plastic frame spectacles, which makes me look so geek/nerd and a basic - no camera phone today. Spent about $120 on both items. I could have spent that on 2 practice sessions luh. Zzzzz..
Ok, I think that's that. The next post should be just before I enlist since there isn't really a confirmed activity this weekend except for the trip to Marina Barrage.

LONG post coming up!
Just realised that I didn't update my blog for this whole week, at least until now. Was quite tired these few days especially when I started working again and having to wake up so much earlier.
Anyway, Shiwee organised a birthday celebration for me and with the class people to eat at Marche at 313. It was the first time for most of us eating at there. After we were done eating, he appeared with cakes from Coffee Club and started singing birthday song along with the rest. Took a couple of group photos and receiving my present, we left Marche and started to find a Mac to watch Man U vs Chelsea. We ended up standing outside TGIF together with a number of strangers, watching that match. It was rather disappointing actually, to see that Man U had lost that match. Oh well. Then we went to Mac to sit down and talk while waiting for Leong to come then we left for home.
Then on Monday, it was the start of my 2 weeks job at MOE. There were 12 of us altogether and were divided into 2 groups - Science and Math. We had to mark this field test that they carried out for the Pri 5 and Sec 3. Marking Math is so much easier than marking Science. Just see the numbers, give the correct coding, and we are done. The Science people have to read through those short answer questions and mark according. Too bad for them. The Math people was like so fast that we didn't have to go to work on Friday while the Science people had to continue with their marking. Aww.. One more week!
On Thursday, went to watch How to train your dragon at EHub!. Didn't know that they do not show that movie in 3D. Sian. The movie was quite nice actually. Especially the main dragon. I wouldn't mind to watch that movie again but in 3D!
Then on Saturday, me and Shiwee joined Eleen's class for CIP - Volunteer at Starhub Urban Freestyle Run at City Hall. It was really a cool event with all those obstacles and running and those miscellaneous games. It could have been better if not for the rain that caused the field to be so muddy. Zzz. We were allocated to two obstacles that were one after another. My station had got to do with Man vs Wild. Quite a fun day actually, but my skin still feels kind of hot now. Some photos

Went out on Thursday with the usual people to celebrate my birthday. Wasn't really a celebration actually. We went to Manpuku at Tampines One for dinner then they bought me a slice of oreo cheesecake from Rive Gauche Patisserie. After dinner, went to meet up with the rest of them to watch Clash of the Titans 3D at GV. Although the 3D effects were little, the show was not bad. As in the storyline and some of the scenes.
Went out with family on Saturday to Jang Shou Korean BBQ Buffet at Katong. Decided to go there and try the food since we had already been to the other one at Esplanade. The food there is really nice - different types of marinated pork and beef, vegetables like mushrooms,white onions and korean side dishes. If you really like BBQ meat, I think that is the place to go to.
I don't know why but there is a sudden crave for white chocolates and milk tea! Haha.
Think I just opened a Pandora's box to someone whom I suppose will find a solution to it. After saying so much to him, I just hope that there will be some changes despite I always having this impression that there will not be a defender because he/she will be missing out the fun. Up till now, no one has realised the problem because someone has been putting up a facade in front of them. I don't feel like repeating what the problem is since I doubt it will be of any use. Someone now knows the problem so let's see whether a miracle will really happen. For all I know up till now, that person(victim) is really tired of almost everything and this Pandora's box can never be destroyed.
