Ok, let me do a quick update of last week till today.

Took the whole week to settle my university admission and their scholarships and they are almost done. Decided not to apply for SMU since I doubt I can answer their interview questions on economics. Hopefully the two acceptance letters arrive soon.

Last Friday, I went to take driving BTT and it was like really easy? I had to complete 50 questions in 50mins but I only took 10mins. Hoho. Then at night, the usual people came over to my house for a stayover. They brought two sets of mahjong and taboo since there are like 15 of us there. Taboo is seriously a damn fun game especially when there is a big group - All those shouting and distractions. When all the guys went home to sleep after brunch, the girls had to go work. *claps* for them.

Went for my first driving lesson today. Wasn't that bad after all. Went through safety procedures and interior parts of the car. Then I had the chance to drive up and down for 30 mins to get use to the pedals and car alignment. The accelerator and brake pedals are like super sensitive luh. I pity the instructor that sat with me today. I went to step on the brake too hard and the whole car jerked. Lols. Tomorrow as in Tuesday, I will have my 2nd and 3rd lessons. Have to chiong now when I have the time.

as the date approaches
I thought of what I have planned to do since the start of the year
for all I know
I guessed, I failed
oh well..

只有我了解 这幸福感觉
美得值得去 付出一切
能够遇见你 认识你 喜欢你 爱上你
感谢我每滴眼泪

Seeing someone's perseverance showing some positive signs, I guess it does really pays off to be determined. Even though that person has put up with a lot of teasing and awkward situations. I suppose, it is still early to conclude anything but at least there is some progress. Jia you!

So what if someone is good at something? He/she may not be appreciated at the end of the day. People may take him/her for granted and think that certain things are naturally done by him/her. When the person tries to change to suit others, they may not accept the new him/her and think that the old him/her is still much better. In short, they are unreceptive to changes. He/she wants to part of the conversation, join in the fun and stay updated. But in the end, no matter how much he/she tries, it is still the same old thing. Oh well..

lying down on that grass patch
looking at the dark sky,
weakly illuminated by the stars and moon
gentle breeze come and go
won't it be nice to have someone close,
enjoying that relaxed moment with you together?

and yes, I am still awake at 5.20am
either my body clock is totally upside down
or I am having mild transient, onset insomnia

Went out on Saturday to have dinner with my family at Noble House again. This time was the ala carte buffet which was really worth it. The cantonese food there was really nice especially some of the seafood! After that, joined the usual people at Bedok Central for K as part of Clement's and Zhang Xiang's birthday celebration. We got this really big room that could at least fit 20 people. But there were about 17 of us then, so there was really a lot of space for movement and dancing. We sang from 10.20pm to 3.20am. Although it is quite expensive, we really let ourselves down. It could be one of the best birthday celebration/outing that we had so far. After that, we went to eat noodles for supper at some 24hr coffee shop nearby until 4.45am before started walking to Tampines Central. Walked from Red Swastika to near Tampines Safra to near St Hilda's Primary then to central. From there, the few of us took a bus home. By the time I got home, it was already 6.30am in the morning. Tiring but something worth to remember. Especially when we are all getting older as time goes by.

I was talking to my friend that day about looks and characters. We were saying that both genders are superficial. I remembered in one of her post, she also mentioned about such thing before. Not exactly the same topic but well, almost the same. Everyone has their own preference; who is good-looking to them may not be good-looking to someone else. So whose opinion is the right one? One party will keep on receiving criticism (hopefully in a joking manner) about the person he/she likes. Have they considered how that party will feel? If someone has a good character but his/her looks are so-so,people may try not to talk to him/her just because he/she has gave them a bad first impression. And subsequently, he/she may not have much people to talk to. Isn't this a bit too overboard? Like what she said, if everyone eyes for the good-looking/very good character, then what will happen to those not so good-looking/good character people? I am not saying that we should pity them and that's why be with them, but at least let them feel that they are still accepted as good friends and someone whom we can always talk to. Back to the no-right-answer question, which gender is more superficial?

the problem isn't mine
but I feel troubled
shouldn't be a busybody and pry into it
if you want to say, you will eventually
couldn't force you to do so
just want to let you know that
I will try to help in whatever ways I can
if you want it

Seeing their faces with that kind of expression, I felt so helpless. There's nothing much I can also except for talking to them and try to console them. Think that's the best I could do. I couldn't interfere even though I very much would like to do so. Because of this event, I even put up a negative attitude towards teachers which I apologised to them after that. It's totally pure nonsense. I didn't know why I even got myself involved in it when I didn't like the event in the first place. Having to stay back till late with them, letting them know my presence there, hoping they know that I do sympathize with them. Whether they know it or not, it doesn't really matter. At least I have done my part. Is it my passion or responsibility that made me so involved in most of the things for the past 3 years? I even took on other tasks that perhaps are not within my job scope - "pacifying" them, settle internal conflicts, be the mediator etc. Oh well..Not trying to gain pitiness from anyone, but this is what I truly felt. Be bothered by it if you want, you have the choice.

there are some things which are that simple
there is no need to complicate it
think far and deep is good
but perhaps surface meaning is sufficient
my intention is pure
I know when to do certain things
I guess I am really asking too much of you
I just want to understand and know better
that's all

the world is full of lies and deceptions
how do you tell that a person is truly lying or giving a white lie?
they say that a good liar will never blink their eyes when they lie
but what if you hardly meet up with the opposite party while still keeping in contact?
you won't know immediately with he/she has lied
would you rather know the truth and be hurt
or would you rather find out the truth but dont let the person know about it and continue to be lied to?
either way, you will still get hurt
but to what extent for each case?
which one is the more hurtful one?

let's say one keep telling you it's ok, just tell him/her the truth
could you bring yourself to say the truth?
knowing that you could have hurt him/her even though "it's ok" will be repeated
being honest is good quality but it could result someone getting hurt
how contradictory

end the misery now rather than later (loose translation from chinese)
do you truly believe in this statement?
sometimes is best that one is kept in the dark until the time is right or when the lie has to be exposed
for fear that his/her determination, faith and/or hope will just crumble right in front of you
being caught in such situations really sucks ttm
but I think many people are still caught in it
imagine or think back if you have been through one
what would you have done (back then)?

After attending NUS and NTU open houses this weekend, I really wonder whether the course that I all along was planning to take is the correct one. I really worry about what happens after that. Making a committment to enter that organisation may block me from other movements out of it. The society is realistic and practical. After realising this point, I just realised I didnt have any alternatives. Oh man.. While there is still time because I haven't submit my application, would there be any difference? People choose their job after finishing their course, but I chose my job before I even start my course. Which actually is the correct way?

or at least, hide your intention until the time is right

There isn't anything to be proud of. With that kind of writing on that piece of paper, I would say it could have been much better. Well, at least there was a major improvement but it was still not good enough. To think that I had put in so much effort in that subject and yet I couldn't get what I wanted. You can say that it was impossible to make such a huge leap, but I made it. Just that I fall short by one. It was really wasted. I could have been up there. There were so many that were expecting my presence up there, but I had to disappoint them. Even if people can tell me that I did better than the rest, I don't really care. It is more of a personal expectation/target. Only to those who ask about it, then I will tell. If not, forget it.
Oh well..now I only hope that what I want next will be mine. Spent so much time thinking about it, typing and digging out the past records etc. Having this feeling of uncertainty but I think it is worth a try.

my friend told me three things in order to..
well,I have already achieved one
not sure if I can achieve the other two
it's difficult especially when I am still determined about it
despite all those advices
I still choose to follow what I had planned initially
that would be my breaking point

This innocence is brilliant, I hope that it will stay
This moment is perfect, please don't go away, I need you now
And I'll hold on to it, don't you let it pass you by

My new job is crappy but super slack and the pay is good. It is damn lame and not many want to do it. Zzzz. Can't wait for it to be over. Then I can continue to slack at home until there is some better ad-hoc jobs to do. Expecting my first pay to come in very soon. Woohoo! Haha.

Went to MJC on Wednesday to settle some things. Ate lunch with Mrs Chin - the new western food stall food is not bad. Like finally, a more decent one. Then later on, went to crash their J2 math lecture. Was sitting behind with Mrs Chin, Sandy and Shiwee. They started on Sampling 2 and I was like lost luh. Kinda forgot what I have learnt already. To think that my statistics is the strongest. -.-

3 months have past since the end of the A Levels exams and later in the afternoon is the release of the results! So so fast luh. Bu chi bu jue, it is already March. Oh well..Really praying hard that my results will be good. As long as can get into the course that I want can already. But looking at the admission requirement for last year, it is equivalent to having to go up to the stage to shake hands with the principal luh. Omg. Imagine what I will be going through if my name doesn't appear on the 3 distinctions slide. Not trying to boast or what. But that's the fact. *crossing my fingers*

imagine having to know a person through another person
you wonder whether you should believe what you hear
some people choose to do so
some people choose to believe what they see instead
but no matter how much they want to see
they won't be able to do so
because they are not given the chance
the reluctance of both parties - one doesn't want to give up knowing the person, one doesn't want to open up
end up, everything comes to a standstill
hoping that one will just take a step back
but this will lead to wrong ideas developed
how about just straigthen things out and maybe wrong ideas will not be developed?
if only you know..

Just ended my first job last Saturday. Didn't expect that I would have such a nice working environment as in the staff and some of the customers. Remembered that I told SW that going to Siglap was like so sian and he told me that it could be a blessing in disguise. I didn't believe him but now, he was definitely correct. Lols.

Anyway, just to update on last week.
Went to meet Roslin on Tuesday to take from her my TPJC house shirt which was like in her bag for don't know how many days. She still can tell me that my shirt was rotting in her bag. Tsk.
Went for dinner at Swissotel Merchant Court Ellenborough Market Cafe with the bank staff because they won some award. The buffet dinner was not bad, especially the small lobsters. Lols. But there wasn't a wide variety of food as compared to other similar buffet dinner at other hotels.
Went back to Dunman to meet Chunluan, Edwina and Christy and helped the girls with their campcraft competition training on Friday and could see that they are really motivated to finish the competition. That explains their performance on Saturday. Congratulations to them for being able to finish on time.
Went for dinner with family at Noble House, a restaurant under Tung Luk Group. The dinner was really nice, and ate Pen Cai for the first time. Then rushed out to Downtown East to join the class for gathering at SW's chalet. Gambled throughout the whole night and the best thing is I broke even. Hoho. The biggest winner was Regina whose luck was like damn good.

Well, that's that. Starting to feel nervous and scared as results day starts to loom nearer and nearer. Although the date is still not confirmed, it is around time of the month. Honestly, if I don't get the points that I am aiming for, I don't know what to do after that. It is a can or cannot make it thing. Nothing in between. Oh well..crossing my fingers and praying silently within myself, hoping that everything will be okay.

happy belated birthday to u.
